Design Challenge
In this scenario, we were working as freelance designers trying to build up your client base. We redesign an app or website of your choice to practice your skills, have fun, and create something to show potential clients.
My Solution
I wanted the brand’s values to be front and center, ensuring visitors immediately connected with their philosophy and aesthetic. Rather than making it better, I went with a somewhat modified approach of “Make it yours,” which is still within the spirit of this project. The learning process was challenging at times, but I found it incredibly rewarding to see my designs come to life.

Design Challenge
The main challenge was balancing the project requirements with my personal design aesthetic. I needed to create a user-friendly, visually engaging prototype while staying aligned with the brand guide and persona. Ensuring the prototype included meaningful micro-interactions and reflected a realistic freelance cost also added complexity.
Design Process
I began with research and mood boards to define the visual direction and user needs. After developing the persona and brand guide, I moved into wireframes and built a clickable prototype in Figma, focusing on [mobile/desktop]. I incorporated micro-interactions to enhance usability and tested the flow to ensure it aligned with the persona and project goals.

My project is inspired by the persona of Suki, a fashion-forward designer with a refined, minimalist aesthetic. Suki’s background in the fashion industry, combined with her eye for style and simplicity, informed every detail of this app. Her name alone evokes elegance, and the app reflects her essence—minimalistic, sophisticated, and effortlessly stylish. Drawing on her life, including her husband’s work as a bespoke furniture designer, the app blends inspiration across fashion, design, and lifestyle. Users can explore curated content and moodboards while seamlessly accessing direct links to purchase featured items. In a real-world application, this platform would function as a curated affiliate marketplace, where featured brands benefit from stylish exposure, and we receive a commission on each sale generated through the app.
